The BA (Hons) Education and Youth Studies explores how education and support services impact the lives of children and young people. You’ll study areas such as youth development, psychology, inclusion, safeguarding and social policy, gaining both academic knowledge and practical insight. Work placements in schools, youth organisations and community projects will help you apply theory to practice and build professional confidence. Alongside this, you’ll develop transferable skills in communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving. Graduates are prepared for careers in teaching, youth work, social services, community development and policy-making, or can progress to postgraduate training such as a PGCE. 🌟
