Student Finance – Financial Support for Your Studies in the UK

What is Student Finance?

Student Finance England (SFE) provides financial support for students starting higher education in the UK. Through this system, you can receive loans and grants to cover tuition fees and living costs. The process is managed by the Student Loans Company (SLC), the government organization responsible for delivering and administering student loans.

  • Covers the full cost of your tuition fees, up to the maximum set by your university.

  • The money is paid directly to your university or college.

  • Helps with living costs such as rent, food, travel, and study materials.

  • The amount you can get depends on your household income and where you study (at home, away from home, or in London).

✅ Grants and additional support (non-repayable)

  • For students with disabilities (Disabled Students’ Allowance – DSA).

  • For students with children or adult dependants.

  • For students under 25 who are estranged from their parents.
